Founded in 1989 by Peter D. Suorsa, PLS, and Mary Deming, Coventry Survey Design Group has proudly served Rhode Island and southern New England for over three decades. Built on a foundation of precision, integrity, and personal service, the firm quickly earned a reputation for excellence in land surveying and site design.
​Following the passing of our founders, Peter in 2010 and Mary in 2013, their legacy of craftsmanship and client commitment continues to guide every project we undertake. Stephen Deming, who joined the company in the 1990s, carried that legacy forward as President until 2013, when John Rockwell, a valued member of the team since 2002, assumed leadership and later became Vice President.​
Today, Samuel R. Suorsa, PLS, who began with Coventry Survey Design Group in 2011, leads the firm as Owner and President, continuing the proud family tradition of professional land surveying. He leads a dedicated team that includes 5 project managers, an office manager, 2 PLS, 1 professional engineer, and 2 field crews.

Great experience with Coventry Survey. My lot was a tricky one to figure out with the minimal information provided, but with this companies expertise, they made it happen and I now know exactly where my boundaries are. Special compliment to our on site surveyor, Marc, who was very personable and knowledgeable on every question I had.
Sam was professional and very responsive. He went out of his way to meet us onsite and went through all of our questions.
This survey company is the best in RI in my opinion. I had them do plans for a condo conversion and a metes and bounds description for another property. They have always been reliable, reasonable with job timeframes, and friendly. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
